New content for ECLASS Release 15.0
Over 150,000 change requests and nine additional languages for ECLASS Release 15.0: ECLASS will be the only data standard to offer a total of 26 languages, reaching over 60% of the world's population and covering both European and international markets.
ECLASS Release 15.0 is scheduled for December 2024. Until then, experts will test and optimize the content of the standard in the alpha and beta phases. At the start of the alpha phase, more than 150,000 change requests had already been submitted by the deadline of April 30, 2024.
Language strategy: ECLASS structural elements in nine additional languages
Beginning with Release 15.0, ECLASS structural elements will be translated into nine additional languages, including Danish, Estonian, Greek, Latvian, Lithuanian, Slovenian, Ukrainian, and Norwegian, in addition to the existing 17 languages. This means that ECLASS content will be available in almost every European language. ECLASS will be the only data standard to offer a total of 26 languages, reaching over 60% of the world's population and covering both European and international markets.
